Accerra

Progress Since Accerra Presented to Keiretsu Forum

Since the last presentation to Keiretsu Forum in February 2002, Accerra has completed its technology development and launched its vertical marketing strategy. Most notably, in 2003, the Company signed a strategic marketing alliance with NAIFA California (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) and has some many producing agency organizations utilizing the Accerra service for everyday communications and marketing efforts. The focus of 2004 is additional penetration within selected vertical markets and pursuit of broader strategic alliances.

Company Overview

Accerra Corporation was launched in March 2000. The Company provides fully integrated Web communication services, primarily focused on selected vertical markets including financial and insurance services and membership organizations. With Accerra, users can easily share rich audio/visual communications via simple email links and schedule, record, and play back conference calls and Web conferences without any additional investment in software or IT infrastructure. Accerra delivers this rich media content and communication service through a hosted services (ASP) business model.

Market

Accerra addresses large markets with favorable trends. Businesses and individuals are rapidly adopting web-based communications services. According to the US Dept of Commerce, more than 50 million professional and sales workers in the US regularly use web-based communications (primarily e-mail) to do their jobs both within and outside of the workplace. Sales of “web casting” communications services are expected to exceed $400 million in 2004, an 80% compound annual growth rate since 2000. Small businesses (6 million in the US) are expected to spend more than $1.2 billion on hosted web services by 2006, a four-fold increase over 2002. These trends have created an environment where demand for both creators and recipients of web based communications has “caught up” to the Accerra communication service.

Unique Differentiators and Company Strategy

Accerra differentiates itself from competitors in two ways:
  1. Accerra’s integrated functionality makes it an everyday communications service, not just a web conferencing product.
  2. Accerra’s solution based approach is sold through value-added relationships within specific vertical markets.

Accerra will be the leader in the Web communications market by providing these vertical based marketing solutions.

As previously noted, the two primary vertical markets are financial and insurance services and membership organizations. Demos of these applications can be found at the links below:

Accerra believes it will maintain a strong competitive differentiation from the existing service through its integrated solution and vertical based market strategy.
