CHARITABLE FOUNDATION EVENTS

Keiretsu Forum Skiing Trip, North Tahoe February 4-6, 2004

Excellent Skiing and Gourmet Food - donations will benefit the Keiretsu Forum Charitable Foundation

Join us for an exciting 3 days of skiing and gourmet meals at North Tahoe.   Skiing will be at 3 popular ski areas: Northstar, Squaw Valley and Sugar Bowl.  

Wednesday, February 4Our member Steve Belomy will host us for dinner at his beautiful home at Squaw Valley on Wednesday night.

Thursday, February 5 Lahontan Realty, the exclusive resort just outside Truckee will be our hosts for dinner on Thursday night.

Charitable Stock Giving Wednesday, March 24, 2004, 6:30pm-9pm

You are invited to join us for the second Keiretsu Forum charitable stock-giving event at the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive.

Stock will be donated to: UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, US Berkeley Haas Business School, UC Berkeley Swim team, Earthwatch, Opportunity International.      

In attendance: More than 220 angel investors, VCs and representatives of many groups in the venture community.

MEMBERSHIP

Habitat for Humanity

Keiretsu Forum is sponsoring building a new home for a low-income family in Oakley. Construction has already begun and Keiretsu Forum members will provide time, materials and funds to build this house.  More information will be provided at Keiretsu Forum meetings along with the opportunity to sign up for work parties. Donations of construction supplies are also needed.

Keiretsu Forum Charitable Golf Tournament & Auction  Tuesday, May 11, 2004

The 2003 Golf Tournament was a rousing success.  2004 promises to be an even bigger and better event, due to our partnership with the East Bay Leadership Foundation. 

The May 11th event will be held at the Blackhawk Country Club and we plan to raise over $200,000 this year for charity.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Keiretsu Forum Ski Weekend, Banff, Canada; March 4 - 8, 2004

A ski weekend in the glorious Canadian Rockies. The Calgary Keiretsu Chapter will have a Forum meeting on Monday morning (March 8th) at the world famous Banff Springs Hotel.

Schedule

Thursday, March 4th

4:40 pm                        Bus departs Calgary airport for Banff

6:15 pm                        Check-in to respective hotels and unpack

7:30 pm                        Welcome reception hosted by Keiretsu President Randy Williams and

                                    Calgary Chapter President Randy Thompson

                                    Wine and cheese party location TBA.                                                                                     

                                    You will receive your ski tickets and all materials at this event

8:30 pm                        Dinner open

Friday, March 5th        Ski Lake Louise

                                    Lake Louise is Canada's largest single ski area with over 100 runs

                                    to choose from

                                    Buses leave for Louise every hour all morning long from your hotel

4:00 pm                        Arrrive at Whitehorn Lodge (mid-mountain) for apres-ski party

5:30 pm                        Buffet Dinner followed by live entertainment and dancing.

                                    Cash bar

7:30 pm                        Torchlight Ski Down - skiers are given head lamps and then ski

                                    down a groomed run guided by ski pros with torches.

8:30 pm                        Buses depart for Banff.

Saturday, March 6th Ski Sunshine Ski Resort

The Rockies only all natural snow mountain. An 8-passenger gondola zips you up to the ski area.

                                    Buses leave your hotel every hour all morning long.

Evening                        Dinner  - open to enjoy many of the fine restaurants that Banff

                                    has to offer.

Sunday, March 7th      Day is open.

                                    Activities that you might want to consider in addition to skiing are:

                                    snow shoeing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours or just

                                    hang out at the spa.

Sunday, March 7th     

6:00 pm                        Dinner for Keiretsu members and guests at the world famous

                                    Banff Springs Hotel. Ivor Petrak Room

                                    The dinner will feature Alberta Prime Rib of Beef with British

                                    Columbia wines included.

Monday, March 8th    

8:30 am                        Keiretsu Forum

                                    Continental Breakfast will be offered

                                    Four investment opporunitues will be presented.

12 noon                        Check out of hotel

12:30 pm                      Bus departs Banff for Calgary airport. Arrives at airport at 2:00 pm.

$425 per person Canadian ($335. US) includes:

                                    Welcome wine and cheese

                                    Lift tickets for Lake Louise and Sunshine ski resorts

                                    Bus tranfers to and from both ski resorts

                                    Torchlight dinner at Lake Louise

                                    Sunday night dinner with wine at the Banff Springs Hotel

                                    Continental breakfast at Keiretsu Forum

Bus transfers from Calgary airport to/from Banff including park entrance fee

Hotel Accomodation is on an individual basis. Keiretsu Forum has made arrangements with two hotels for a group rate. The Banff Springs Hotel which is a half mile from the centre of town or the new Royal Canadian Lodge which has a downtown location. Upgrades are available.
