Habitat Home Nearing Completion, Fall 2004

The Habitat for Humanity home in Oakley is nearing completion and the Jiminez family is looking forward to moving into their new home sometime this Fall. There are still opportunities for members to help with the construction and those interested in working on the home should contact Tom Dowd at: tom@dowdandguild.com Work dates will be on October 9 and November 13. These photos show the completed exterior of the home. The Jiminez family greatly appreciates your generous contribution of funds, building materials and work time.

Food Drive to Benefit Hungry Families, November 2004

Once again we will assist the Contra Costa Food Bank with a food drive at our November meeting. The Contra Cost Food Bank helps needy families in our area throughout the year. Larry Sly, the Executive Director of the Contra Costa Food Bank will be our guest at the meeting and will share information about the good work that they do. Additional details of what type of food to bring to the meeting will be available later in the Fall.

Christmas Gifts for Needy Families, December 2004

The Adopt-A-Family program brings Christmas presents to families who would otherwise not experience the joy of the holiday season. Keiretsu Forum members will be provided information about the members of a particular family along with their needs and wants. You will do the shopping and wrapping for this family and the presents will be collected to be delivered to the family. Details and sign up sheets will be provided at the November meeting.

Warm Coat Drive, January 2005

Imagine how important the gift of a warm coat is to someone who can't afford to pay the heating bills or who lives on the streets. Over the last 2 years the Charitable Foundation has donated over 200 warm coats to needy individuals. In January we will once again collect warm coats and your generous contributions are greatly appreciated. More information will be provided at the December meeting.

3rd Annual Keiretsu Forum Ski and Snowboard Trip, February 2005

The Keiretsu Forum Ski and Snowboard Team invites everyone to join them for an event benefiting the Charitable Foundation. The Ski Trip to Lake Tahoe has always been one of the most popular outings of the year. Members enjoy excellent skiing and gourmet meals in a beautiful Lake Tahoe setting. Last year's dinner at the Lahontan Lodge was the highlight of the event. Tentative dates are February 15-17, 2005.
