Keiretsu Forum Dallas/Fort Worth
We are proud to announce the launch of our tenth chapter. Keiretsu Forum Dallas/Fort Worth held it inaugural meeting on April 13, 2005 in Richardson, TX and is off to a great start.

Keiretsu Forum has chapters in Northern California (East Bay and Silicon Valley), Southern California (Westlake Village, Los Angeles, San Diego and Long Beach), Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago/Midwest, Boston/New England and Calgary, Canada.

Our network of chapters enables:

  1. Support of our portfolio companies and presenting entrepreneurs with equity and resources in different capital markets,
  2. Building additional quality deal flow for our members in different geographical locations,
  3. Our members enjoy collaborative business and social relationships between chapters,
  4. Our chapters contribute towards the economic growth of their geographical location.

In Dallas, we have twenty charter members in the first month of operations. There have been two Keiretsu Forum meetings with nine deals presented. Six deals received investor interest.

We have had two company presentations from the San Francisco Bay Area (one that had raised capital in the East Bay and one that had raised capital in multiple chapters). Three chapters have requested a peep at three of the deals with a view to offering them in those chapters.

The diversity of the deal flow is:
   - Three Medical Devices;
   - One Real Estate Financing;
   - One Healthcare Software;
   - One Consumer Product;
   - One Wine Marketing Company;
   - One Feminine Product; and
   - One Corporate Healthcare.

Referrals have come from Comerica, Bank of America, Silicon Valley Bank, Wells Fargo, The InvestIN Group, Haynes & Boone and several of the local law firms. We would like to thank them for all their support.

Our Keiretsu Forum investment community is strengthened through its involvement in charitable activities. At our second Dallas meeting held on May 11th, we introduced the charitable giving aspect. One guest, Dave Smith of Dallas Laser Dentistry, www.dallaslaserdentistry.com offered a Tooth Whitening session of $870 value that was auctioned off and the proceeds will be sent to the charity of his choice, The American Cancer Society.
