ICOMMM Inc.
By Tyler Foreman, Vice President, Co-Founder
Company Background ICOMMM offers the first fully integrated set of software tools that enable public agencies to plan and implement programs for proactively managing and maintaining their utility infrastructure assets in compliance with emerging State and Federal mandates. The ICOM3 program management solution provides agencies with a suite of condition assessment, risk assessment, planning, scheduling, work management, and reporting modules with specific emphasis on wastewater collection systems. By bringing together data that describes the current state of each utility, ICOMMM’s solution enables the agency to identify potential risks and plan the most cost effective way to address those risks and solve problems before they turn into failures. The result is the assurance policy makers need to make the exacting decisions that will provide the greatest return on their investments while significantly increasing the reliability of their utility combined with a marked reduction in the cost of ownership.
Agencies that implement ICOM3 not only bring themselves into compliance with upcoming State and Federal mandates, they also gain the ability to defend themselves against potential lawsuits from environmental groups, even in the case where an unforeseen event caused a system failure. ICOMMM provides them with the tools to quickly document the management programs they have implemented and report on the preventative work performed on the system. The ability to defend themselves in such a manner can result in potential avoidance of costly legal fees, lengthy litigation, and fines and penalties.

Market
The EPA estimates that there are more than 19,000 municipal wastewater collection systems in the United States with an additional 25,000 privately owned utilities. The EPA developed a model in 2000 in order to estimate the capital investments necessary to bring the nation’s wastewater infrastructure to a level of performance compliant with proposed regulations. The result of this model estimated the total cost of these capital improvements at $88.5 billion. ICOMMM estimates $4.9 billion of this will be spent in the planning, services and technology necessary to move this effort forward.
Distribution Model
ICOM3 is deployed in the software as a service (SAAS), or ASP model, providing ICOMMM with a lucrative recurring revenue stream and an engaged client base looking to extend the application into a broader base of assets.
Joint Marketing Opportunities
ICOMMM has begun to form strategic partnerships with engineering and technology consultants that currently serve the wastewater and public utility sector. It is ICOMMM’s goal to become the preeminent technology partner to these firms, providing the software tools and services that their clients require to manage their utilities and maintain regulatory compliance.
The ICOM3 solution brings many benefits to these consultants, including the lucrative design and construction contracts that are the result of the planning efforts enabled within ICOM3. The benefit of this relationship to ICOMMM is access to an existing sales infrastructure and client relationships, requiring less “feet on the street” within our organization, significantly reducing the cost of each sale.
